These drawers had definitely seen better days. The drawers were solid wood and in great condition for their age, however the finish was very worn. 

After a light sanding, the drawers were sealed before being French polished. The handles were brought up using good old brown sauce and a tooth brush. The photos sadly do not do these drawers justice. Once finished they didn't stand around long before being sold to gentleman in London. 

Worn and damaged finish, this unit was sent for the skip. Thankfully I knew with a little TLC It could live on. 

After a good sanding, a new finish was added and the wooden handles were replaced. I couldn't part with this unit so it didn't make my shop. It now resides in my living room as my plant table. 

This bench was hand made to a very high standard. I would not usually take on a bench restoration, however after hearing the story of this bench and appreciating the craftmanship in the making of the bench. I could not refuse.

This bench just shone! The swivel arm table was loose so I replaced the screw swivel mechanism and tightened it up. After sanding, a clear waterproof finish was added to the bench which brought out the natural deep colours of the wood. 

This sewing box dates pre world war 2. This hand made box had a lovely but very warn top. The veneer showed damage to the inlay and lots of cracks on the suface. 

This top was delicately cleaned and stripped,  The missing inlay was replaced and  the whole box was french polished to  subtle shine.
