The Parish Council floor restoration

This restoration was a year in the making, the Parish Council had to ensure all of the club's using the hall had places to go for two weeks. From a distance the hall floor looked nice, but upon closer inspection, the polystyrene finish had started to flake and peel. There were a lot of marks and scratches as the badminton court was used regularly.

A well used floor in need of some TLC

The floor required a number of passes at 24 grit due to the amount of polish that had been added over the years. the big gouges were filled then colour matched to the floor, The white lines had been re added onto each coat of varnish over the years so these required a lot of attention while sanding. The edging was was the main challenge with this floor. Pipes ran the full length of the hall and required hand scraping.

The primer was added and Pallmann x98 a durable finish that is good for the environment , has low Voc's and is water and chemical resistant. the perfect finish for a busy town hall. I want to give back to community buildings so I price jobs like this up at a low rate as I know funds are low for community buildings. The price may be lower but the quality of work is not.
