Furniture Restoration
From the changing of colour to match the new trends to the full restoration of an antique piece with French Polishing. Click on the Project to see more information on the restoration.

Painted Furniture
This customer had an idea of making her unit match her marble style fireplace. I don't usually like painting wood but this unit was in a bad way and was not antique. After a lot of repairs filling chips and repairing the top veneer I added an under coat before adding the top layers in two Fusion colours, a third off white was used to add a stippled effect of marble before specs were added by hand. The unit was finished in Osmo Top Oil to ad durability.

Mahogany Handmade Bench Restoration
I wasn't going to take this job as the time needed to restore a bench like this would cost less to buy a new one. However after talking to the lady about it's history and the fact it was hand made, I just could not see it deteriorate any more. After sanding down I soon realised it was made out of solid Mahogany. After a wash of clear Danish oil this beautiful bench is a sight to behold. I'm so glad I went with my instincts and went to see this bench. 🧡

1900's Lebus 5 set of drawers restoration
This 1900's Lebus 5 set of drawers has been fully restored to it's former glory in a deep mahogany finish, then French Polished to help that wood grain pop and shine

Table Chip Repair
Another chip that was filled with furniture wax and paints to blend the chip into the table. Finished with Osmo Top Oil to add durability.

Sideboard Chip Repair
This sideboard was damaged on delivery by a local company. I was called into repair the unit. The unit appeared to be a manufacturing error and not caused by the delivery team. I cleaned the area and used furniture wax and paint to hide the chip before sealing.

Sun bleached chairs
These chairs were badly sun bleached, after a fin sanding to feather out the bleached pattern the finish was re applied to make the chairs uniform.

French Polished Pre War Swing Box
This was a families heirloom, hand made by the farther before he went to war. It was missing some veneer, the top was very dry and cracked and overhaul it just required some tender loving care. After a light sand the unit was repaired with furniture putty, paint and replacement veneer.
