Barnby Dunn Old School Hall Floor Restoration

This old floor had seen better days. Another busy old hall thats time had come for me work my magic. After sanding off the old yellow finish it was evident that the wood was not oak as initially assumed. It was in fact an exotic wood called Iroku. Iroku is a really tough wood to work on and does not like the eco friendly water based finish I like to use. After a call to H&F Flooring I was advised to use Arboritec's Vibrant. This water based finish was still eco friendly water based but had a different scientific structure that made it compatible. All above my head but it sounded good. The Vibrant Primer really brought out the red in the wood, finished in Arboritecs 2k Ceramic lacquer keeping it eco friendly and very durable. To top it off the time missed with the product change was made up by the fact that this awesome finish cures in just 3 days. Meaning the hall did not loose out on too much down time.
